Our client is seeking a professional for the role of Technical Architect.

Key Responsibilities:

Main Priorities:

• He will be responsible for technology aspects of the products.
• He will work very closely with Product Management and Domain Experts to make sure the application or system meets the needs of the business.
• His work will require significant creativity and judgment.
• He would be required to Mentor, develop, and train engineers
• He would play a significant role to determine potential risks to a schedule.
• He would help develop long-term technology strategies and significantly influences the cross-company engineering processes and standards.
• He should be able to influence engineering best practices
• Technology review on the work done by external vendors
• Dimensions: He will not have any team initially but will be required to build as the practice builds itself stronger.
• Decision Making Authority: The jobholder will be required to make decisions for the technology division in consultation with VP – Process & Technology.
• Financials: To operate within approved budgets

The Requirements:

Essential:

• § Must have 7 - 9 years of relevant, broad engineering experience
• § A high calibre B.E/B.Tech degree or higher in Computer Science from a premier institute
• § Proven track record and experience designing, developing and implementing B2B based products
• § Advanced knowledge in performance, scalability, enterprise system architecture, and engineering best practices
• § Experience in financial software, ERP systems, or eCommerce solutions
• § Capable of independent full systems design, including requirements gathering, specifications, and coding
• § Capable of playing a technical leadership role for complete product life cycles. Has built and delivered complex systems that leverage different enterprise technology platforms
• § Ability to work independently with little review
• § Strong experience in application of UML, Design Patterns in design and architecting of solutions
• § Experience with Agile development Methodologies like SCRUM
• § Expert knowledge in a wide range of internet based technologies such as J2EE, .NET & XML
• § Strong DBMS skills using MySQL, Oracle etc and experience with EAI technologies like WebSphere, WebMethods, TIBCO etc
• § Skills in planning and delivering initiatives which improve business results in a demanding environment
• § Strong influencing skills and an ability to operate at a higher level
• § Strong People & communication and skills
