Based in Brussels (Belgium) Amgen is looking for a Market Access Manager within the Regulatory Affairs Department, reporting to the Corporate & Regulatory Affairs Director.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

As Market Access Manager you will take primary responsibility for local reimbursement policies for a portfolio of first-in- class and best-in-class drugs in Belgium and Luxemburg. Within a broader context you may also be involved in dealing with issues related to Corporate Communciation, Patient Advocacy and Government Affairs.

You are primarily responsible for:

  • Participating in the development of the local value-based strategy to secure broad product access;
  • Collecting local cost data for the customization of cost effectiveness models;
  • Adapting budget impact models for local decision makers;
  • Developing value based local reimbursement and submission dossiers;
  • Mapping local payers & accessing influencing networks;
  • Developing & rolling out an engagement strategy with key payers;
  • Conducting reimbursement/pricing negotiations;
  • Providing feedback for local requirements in the International Value Dossier & PayerPlan;
  • Supporting Local Health Technology Assessments;

Profile:

  • You have a scientific academic degree (Medicine, Pharmacy, Bioengineering…) and at least 4 years relevant experience in a Healthcare environment with minimum 2 years experience in a similar position;
  • You have a successful track record of securing local broad access for a newly launched drug and negotiation with national & regional authorities. Moreover you have experience with access responsibilities in a retail and hospital environment;
  • You have experience with developing value oriented economic propositions and selling them to heterogeneous audiences;
  • Existing relationships with key national & regional payers are a plus
  • Experience with the set up of access stakeholders networks and partnering with advocacy groups is an asset.
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with fluency in English, Dutch and French.
  • You display cross-functional leadership within the organization. You are a relationship builder that inspires trust, reliability and credibility. In this respect you possess excellent communication, negotiation and diplomatic skills. You can influence and win support of others and have no problem functioning within a team.
  • You communicate and network effectively at all levels both internally and externally.
  • You combine an analytical, inquisitive approach with a practical, hands-on mentality to propose creative solutions for the issues at hand.
